On the road again!

Hello friends and family. I apologize my mommy has not updated my site in so long! I will be 14 months old tomorrow! I am doing lots of new things now! I point and grunt now to let mom and dad know what I want. I can say baby now too! My favorite toy is my shape sorter. I am getting very good at putting the shapes in the right place. Mommy says I am so smart! I don't drink from a bottle anymore, only a sippy cup for me! I got my first haircut and I cut three more teeth! I went on my first real road trip to Crested Butte, Colorado last week. I was a very good girl in the car and I had a lot of fun in the mountains! We also made a trip to the greatest college in the world-Texas Tech University! We met up with mommy and daddy's old friends and went to the football game. Can you believe mom and dad met there 13 years ago??? Well I hope you are all doing well and I hope to see you soon!

Happy Birthday to ME!!!

I turned a year old on August 11th! I had a birthday party and it was so much fun! My favorite family and friends were there! I got my very own cake! The icing was my favorite part. I started walking a few days before my birthday, so I got to show off to everyone! Mommy said I was pretty cute walking around in my tutu. Our family also announced some big news: I'm going to be a BIG SISTER!!! Mommy is having a baby in March 08! Here are some pictures in case you missed it!

11 months: My First Vacation

Sorry it has been so long since the last update, mom says she has been really busy! In July I turned 11 months old. Time flies when you're having fun! I took my first vacation this month complete with an airplane ride. The departure was a little rocky, but after that it was smooth sailing! We went to California to a family wedding. My favorite parts were the beach and the San Diego zoo, so I included some pictures for you. I am still crawling everywhere and pulling up on everything. I can even take a few steps now. I like to wave "bye bye" to everyone and enjoy reading books and pointing out the pictures. Hope your summer is as fun as mine!

9 month milestones: I am a crawler!

Life is good! I can crawl all over the house now. I even taught mommy to crawl. We like to play chase. I can even pull up on the furniture and cruise around. Won't be long until I'm walking. Bluebell has lost a couple of pounds from me chasing her. I love that cat! I can also talk some more. I say mama and baba all the time, and still dada of course. My favorite game is peekaboo. I can amuse mommy for hours just by putting a blanket over my face and pulling it down again! She gets all excited and giggly. Silly mommy. I took some more swimming lessons. I drank alot of water, but I can get to the side of the pool and hold on for dear life after they drop me in off the side! My new favorite foods are grilled cheese and watermelon! Mmmm Mmmmm! I can make a mess too! I have six teeth, so that makes it easier to chew. I also like to eat apples right off the core like a big girl. I am recognizing more things now. I can point out the balloon, mouse, and kitty cats in my Goodnight Moon book. Mommy and Daddy read that book to me all the time. Daddy is doing something around the house called "babyproofing". They are locking me out of all of the drawers and cabinets. Can you believe that! That is all the news I have. I hope you are having as much fun as I am! ~Brinley

Eight Month Milestones

I have had a very busy month this month. It is tough being eight months old! I celebrated my First Easter! My Gran bought me a pink Easter dress with a bonnet. I told mom this was the only time I would ever wear a bonnet for her! Don't even think about it next year! I can blow rasberries now. That can be kind of fun! I also cut my two top teeth. And drum roll please......I said my first word! Dada! Of course he was in New York when I said it, but I made sure he heard it when he got home. I can also say baba. I have also started swimming lessons. Check out the picture of me in my pink polka dot bikini! I love being in the water, and while all those other kids are crying, I'm just chillin! I have also started scooting around on the floor. I can make it all the way across the living room. I will be crawling before you know it. Look out Bluebell!

My first Easter Egg Hunt!

This was my first Easter Egg Hunt at Grandpa and Nana's. I didn't quite get the hang of it this year, but I still had fun!

Dallas Blooms

We went to Dallas Blooms with my cousins Haley and Maddie, and my Aunt Amanda. Yeah, Mom and Dad were there too. They were a little picture happy. It was all fun and games until they let that Easter Bunny loose on me. I was not impressed!

I thought I would make Brinley famous and get a blog going for her. That way we can keep friends and family updated and show off our sweet girl!
